RA - Reserves July 23, 2019

Terminology first!  The SIG is "Reserves" the epic is "Courses".  Can we settle on one term, or is there a logic behind the current naming?  Jarmo - "We should call them course reserves or reserves in short. While the current model assumes that a reserve is always associated with a course I do know that some lectures keep a kind of general reserve that serves multiple different (non-crosslisted) courses. So we should assume that we are creating a reserve foremost, and the association with a course is optional."

"Reserves" may mean booking, or holding the item (making an appointment) for a particular kind.  May be called Reading Room functionality.

Agreed on "Course Reserves" for the Epic.  Courses for the Course information.  Reserves are items in a course.

• ​the handling of temporary locations and shelfmarks. How to add and remove them, how to display them in the discovery interface and their interaction with loan rules etc. For many German libraries a reserve item's course ID would have to be visible in discovery in addition to the temporary location and shelfmark and I don't think we found a final solution for that issue.
