2025-02-20 Product Council Agenda and Meeting Notes

Eureka work: Documentation, coordination, SIG role in the transition

At the TC’s meeting on 2025-02-17 conversation on the role out of the new permissions roles in Eureka, which will be implemented as of Sunflower (expected release 4/28/2025)

Charlotte asked at the TC meeting whether permissions test rail tickets need to be rewritten

  • this should not be necessary, while a team of QA writers has already been working on rewriting the permissions - but unclear if this work is completed.

  • User Management SIG will test Eureka permissions to familiarise with it during SIG sessions

  • Official FOLIO documentation will need to be updated as well - Documentation SIG is aware

    • volunteers are needed and always welcome

  • Tipps and Tricks pages will need an update as well, e.g. how to get from one permission concept to the other

  • Charlotte in chat: Here a FOLIO wiki page, which we need to update/add a new page for Eureka Permission Roles - https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FOLIOtips/pages/5672610

  • to do for pc work should be coordinated, so regular check-ins with PC will help; find people who are responsible for the different documentation pieces
