Publication patterns: Enumeration and Chronology
Enumeration and chronology for serial issues are added as part of the publication pattern using “Labels”. Typically serials will need one chronology label (to enable serials to be labelled with a day, month and/or year of publication) and one enumeration label (which can have multiple levels). But some serials may require multiple enumeration labels if the issues are counted or labelled in multiple ways. Examples are given below.
Once added to the publication pattern, each enumeration and chronology label can be referenced in the Labelling Template, which is used by the system to combine the enumeration and chronology values into a readable Display summary
(ultimately this display summary will be populated into any receiving pieces created in the receiving app for check in).
