Ramsons release updates

Bulk edit Ramsons bugfest update: The last week of fixing for bugfest. Next week is devoted to testing of Ramsons functionality in all supported environments. The go-live is scheduled for 2/3/2025. For Bulk Edit, there are some blocked tickets: the first impacts large jobs and seeing log entries (currently in QA); data export of large files (in Eureka) ; 500, 502 errors appear in Eureka.

Lists app UAT Results

This UAT was to evaluate the permissions per record type for those who use FOLIO. This ran in early to mid November 2024. The majority of users saw what they expected to see. 1 user encountered an issue that was environmental and not functional for one test. One comment asked for the “Refresh List” be separate for those with view only permissions to be able to refresh a list.

Questions:

Is it possible to find instances with 0 holdings? The context is to be able to find orphan instances that may have been created in error and that aren’t connected to any holdings or items. Answer: Not sure. There is a similar concern with orphan marc srs records that aren’t connected to any FOLIO inventory records.

Sunflower updates

• Bulk edit:

  • MODBULKOPS-325: Modify Find action on Bulk edit form for Inventory records to match part of the textClosed . With Sunflower, the change of functionality with FIND will be to match part of the text.

  • MODEXPW-544: Handle UTF-8-BOM when getting record by identifierClosed This is linked to the csv created in Excel that weren’t working as expected.

  • UIBULKED-571: Errors in response to UI callsClosed

Sunflower is a short development period. There are 2 issues scheduled (UPROD-4017 and UXPROD-4671).

• Lists app:

  • Performance improvements UXPROD-5043: Sunflower - Lists/FQM performance improvementsIn Progress Improvements to FQM. For certain repeating fields that are arrays, indexes can now be used.

  • Volunteers requested to assist with UXPROD-4977: Sunflower - Finance / Invoice / Orders - Add more data and record typesIn Refinement Looking for volunteers and data for this area. There is so much set up that needs to happen. Testing might be easier to do this in our dry run or our test environment.

Implementation topics

Use of label “metadatamanagement”. MM SIG would like to start tracking BELA issues in its dashboards. Would it be possible to add this label going forward? Magda and Kathleen will look into doing this in batch! Thank you. We’ll see to these implementation topics in 2 weeks.

• Follow up on Fields protection override UXPROD-5107: Overwriting protected fields during bulk edit Draft

• Discuss Override of optimistic locking

Lists App:

• When will these be scheduled? Issues in DRAFT

  • Add indicator when waiting for additional data to display

  • Display enum and chron & Volume with effective call number for items and holdings
