SIG Convener Updates this week

Call for SMEs from SIGs to be involved in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Regression testing; please contact Anton

There is a call for Subject Matter Expert involvement for user testing. This is different than bugfest testing - it's less formal. Having more eyes on the test environment to catch problems, inconsistencies, is much easier for the developers before bugfest.

MM rep for Documentation Group?
Jesse, Lisa McColl, Robert Scheier and more volunteered. We can have more than one. Please volunteer! Let Laura know. Those that have not migrated are more than welcome to volunteer.

Suggestion - Use comment feature on the "tips and tricks" page. Look at existing documentation and add notes/comments. This will help call attention to documentation that needs work.

Keyboard Shortcuts in InventoryCharlotte Whitt

# UIIN-1411 - Getting issue details... STATUS

Jesse (via chat) "the emphasis on thinking about macros will contribute much to the workflow element of keyboard interactions (sort of, as a guiding principle), whatever result is realized. this is an important task and conversation'

Sorting of Enumeration and Volume columns in the Item detail list

UIIN-1412andUIIN-1416

Feedback from Chicago staff: Sorting of items on the holdings records is not helpful to staff at Chicago. Chicago uses enumeration fields - that field is sorting as a string, making it difficult to locate item in large series sets.

Zak Burke - New algorithm looks up a value and pulls up three numbers in a row, regardless of how they are separated.

Comments - in chat

"From Lisa F. (Cataloging) to Everyone:  12:17 PM
In the first place, it depends on how the caption is ordered.  It's not clear to me that it's supplement no. 425 or the supplement to no. 425.  If the latter case, the statement is written in the wrong order in the first place."

"From Kyle Banerjee to Everyone:  12:18 PM"This is slick. Would love to see the test examples because there are weird sequences where alpha mixed with numbers are surprisingly common"

Here are some examples with which Zak is working:

Productivity Stats Proposal updates
Discussion at App Interaction – should the long-term development of this functionality be paired with the development of a change-tracker app (aka audit log)? or should it be completely distinct (as proposed in our vision statement)? Will be further discussion around change tracking.
