Re: subject granularity – Does the 655 only get labelled as FAST?
Export/Import of job profiles currently API only but plan is to develop this for UI in future Will Data Export (on the fly mapping FOLIO to MARC) be updated to accommodate more granular subject types & sources?
Will we have to reindex Inventory after upgrade to Ramsons to capture all the new granualar subject headings that we add locally?
Subject source, and Subject type is that tightly integrated with MARC, or will it also be possible to be enhanced to support BibFrame/Linked Data formatted data
“It would be nice if the most common $7 vocab sources (such as FAST and LCGFT), could already be mapped, rather than every institution having to map them locally. Or maybe this is something hosting providers could do prior to upgrades (for those of us not hosting ourselves)?” (this comment got several thumbs up) --At GBV we're adding regional reference data that all our libraries are using via script for each tenant that is set up. I guess the other hosting providers could do similar. I would include just as much reference data as needed for FOLIO operations worldwide.
standardization of OCLC numbers is through Data Import/Single record import; based on presence of (OCoLC) exactly de-duplication occurs following normalization
Update ownership is for ECS (Enhanced Consortial Support) only What happens to a potential POL-holdings link when updating the ownership of a holdings to another library?

PC updates | 2024-11-21 Product Council Agenda & Meeting Notes Announcements: Reminder on SIG prioritization process. And any SIGs who would like to have Jesse, Kristin M and Martina Schildt to come and present the process - then scheduling meetings in January is possible. No meeting next week, due to Thanksgiving 🦃. Thomas Trutt, Andreas Mace, and Kajsa Bäckius: Presentation [insert link here - when shared] on new reading room circulation functionality (Epic: UXPROD-1835): For National Library of Sweden then 90% of all loans are reading room loans. NLS needs the flexibility. Reading room loans is more than in-house use. This specification/requirements are aiming for additional work on existing apps: check-in/check-out and the Request app. The primary purpose will be to support reading room loans, where the item will not leave the library. Will add a new request type token. New Request Policy Setting. Staff slips editor to be enhanced supporting advanced layout options; e.g. table setting, user barcode image. This solution also requires changes to the Request form, and the display of the list of Request. Changes to the Check in app. Upper right corner will have a new drop down list. There was a discussion if the approach for reading room circulation functionality also could have been solved when doing UXPROD-4398 (Alternative check-outs). Thomas has also an eye on the mediated request app, which is intended for special collections. To explain the differences between Reading room access (which is a FOLIO app) - is about permissions for entering a room. Reading room circulation functionality (which is not an app, but extension on existing apps), is about patrons in the reading room, checking in/checking out the materials. The materials on a reading room loan, can be reserved a given loan for a long time period. Future topics:Charlotte notes that no code has been written yet for this.
