• Thoughts on using the 008/15-17 values (mapped to the full value per https://www.loc.gov/marc/countries/countries_code.html ) for this facet

• If 008/15-17 values are used for the facet, what does this mean for the existing publication place field? Assuming we can’t just replace, since the 260/264 contains more information about the place of publication. New field? Display?

2024-05-2 Product Council Meeting Notes . This week the PC discussed:

• how to address questions from the China community. PC is looking to create a small group to reach out to the Chinese community to talk about next steps.

• State of FOLIO document. The Community Council posted a draft State of FOLIO doc on slack earlier this week. PC discussed this document. Comments can be added to the document. Next week, PC will review the 2023 Things that Could be Better About FOLIOfor action items.
