Document Group was asking about whether implementers would be interested in expanding on On-Boarding Steps. 

Some documents to create:

  • Day in the life of a cataloger, etc

Community guide – beyond SIGs listing

  • Steps for depth of involvement, phases
  • Implementation, data migration groups as entry point
  • Implementers as (emotional) support group

Standardized way of laying out a wiki page for SIGs

  • Meeting time/link + ics file
  • Recordings
  • Darsi Rueda volunteering to take a first pass at standardizing

Kiwi demo site is not listed on Wiki as current release; DevOps need resources (halftime or better)

Should Implementers be bug testers for new releases?

  • Hard to do, specific settings for specific systems
  • Use Implementer meeting times for testing workflows
    • “What changed in Kiwi?” meeting
    • “How to bug test” meeting
    • Workflow co-testing session
    • Maybe less test-rails, more working through workflows together

We need a good set of working circ rules for testing

  • Whole set of reference data to 'raise the floor' on doing testing
  • Aim for multi-location setup
  • Ian Walls  will work to setup ByWater demo site with more robust reference data, and share with group
