Logistics for F2F meeting in Boston

  • Confirmed attendees are: 
    • Index Data: Filip, Charlotte, D., Lynn
    • EBSCO: Oliver Pesch (tentative)
    • OLE: Kim, Kristen, Kristin, Eric
  • Charlotte will circulate document for logistics and travel info
  • Kim will send out catering menu

New members

  • We welcomed new member Maria Grzeschniok from GBV
  • Several other new members have been identified from OLE institutions
  • We will work on a plan for getting these new members up to speed at the Dec. 2 meeting

OLE ERM presentation

  • Kristen Martin presented an overview of the ERM work done for OLE and lessons learned
  • Slides: OLE ERM review.pptx
  • The key concepts that emerged were
    • The need for a single point of management for management and discovery
    • The need to handle complex data structures and large amounts of data without sacrificing system performance
    • The need for a clear migration path for new users

Assignments for F2F meeting

  • To aid Filip in understanding processes and pain points, the OLE attendees will prepare case studies based on real resource management situations. 
  • Each person will write up a short bullet-point list of the process and pain points. (See Kristen's example.) 
  • At the F2F meeting, we will walk through each case study and look at screens, tools, etc. 
  • Peter will look into technology that may allow us to record our demos
  • The assignments are:
    • New resource acquisition
      • Kim – single title (journal and/or database)
      • Eric – ebook package
      • Peter – a couple recent examples ? 
    • Renewals
      • Kristen – large journal package
      • Kristin – database
      • Martina – consortial perspective
