55Bulk APIsvarious

We will discuss the addition of some new modules to the list we have suggested for bulk API creation. Also, we should check in to see how people are doing their migration projects, and what kinds of issues may have arisen.

Meeting Notes:

  • How to handle SRS;
    • Does SRS accept user metadata ?
    • It doesn't accept CQL anymore since the last major release (Goldenrod). The story is RMB-534 - Getting issue details... STATUS . Jon created RMB-743 - Getting issue details... STATUS . "Add preserveMetadata query parameter to insert/update web APIs to allow client to set metadata info while logged in as admin". - The latest refactoring should have preserved the web API interface.
  • User metadata

Ian has put in the Jira issues and they were ranked by the POs. Ian will claim the Jira issue that Jon created and get a ranking.

William Welling from TAMU has made a list ... for stream-getting records.

Inventory seems to perform O.K. (to Ian and Jeffrey). Jeffrey is using the bulk APIs. Ian is using the "JSON-to-Folio" developed by EBSCO and uses a local process for holdings and items.
