Statistical search code vs. Tags in Inventory

Outcome of Discussion:

With the assumption that the Custom Field function, intended to run across all apps in FOLIO, will not be ready for v.1, the group decided to request an additional field requirement called "Statistical Code" in inventory, to fill the need identified in the gap analysis.

The group agreed that "tags" are intended for a more flexible use cases and the tag function would be stifled by the introduction of the restrictions needed to support statistics.

UX wireframe - sorting by contributor

UX wireframe - sorting by contributor in the 2nd pane, which contributor should we then sort by? Right now we sort by the first one in the record,

UChicago:  we decided that a contributor would get a primary designation if it was being mapped from a 1xx field; in this case the contributor should always be the first in the record. We did not assign primary contributor in our mapping when contributors were only being mapped from 7xx fields and no 1xx field was present

Is there a functionality tied to the checkbox? Charlotte will check options with Niels Erik if the first three mentioned could be displayed. The group will discuss this issue again when we have more info.

Spine labelCharlotte Whitt

The Gaps analysis surfaced the need for a data element for spine label. Charlotte will do a quick demo of the printing feature developed for circulation (print slip). Some more spec work for the spine label functionality is needed (if we don't have time to talk about this at today's meeting, then we can postpone it to next week).
