Continued discussion of budget for FY25

  • Group is starting to meet on a regular basis.

  • Yogesh Kumar shared some cost information and the group has recommitted to providing cost information. Expecting to present to CC on September 9

  • Running additional instances to test Eureka as well as pre-Eureka versions is more than doubling some costs. There are some scenarios to reduce costs, including spinning up fewer test instances (maybe 20% cost reduction)

    • Current plan is “morning”, could be 2 or 3h (9am-noon)

    • Decision: Meeting in-person for 3 hrs.

  • Discuss results of the Wednesday member meeting at WOLFcon → continue on Tri-Council meeting as well

  • What is the vision/direction for the community? (Carrots for growth)

  • Discuss AWS costs and communicate the facts to the community

  • What did we learn from WOLFcon? Which topics should have follow-up?
