Agenda items

Minutes

  • Follow up on data migration
    • no further need for discussion at the moment
  • Documentation for Open Access app
    • Peter McCracken and Claudia Schwanhold volunteer to help Martin and Björn with documentation
    • working as OA working group
    • Björn to approach Documentation group for next steps
    • communication not possible via Slack in this case because of data privacy concerns; need other channel
  • Implementers topics
    • when adding a new request I would like to add the journal information via the ISSN. With the ISSN the OA app could then get the standard name of the journal from the crossref API (e.g.: https://api.crossref.org/journals/2045-2322).
      • OS: better to use Agreements local KB to link journals to agreements
      • OS: other KB to consider
      • BO: should differentiate between article and journal KB integration
      • Marcus Putnings: offers support for Crossref integration for articles
      • need more discussion on how to implement best
      • Owen to provide some options and considerations; including ORCID integration; when should updates automatic or manual
      • follow up needed
    • in case of Gold-OA-journals the OA app could display information like "found in DOAJ" or the mean APC values of the journal via the DOAJ API (e.g. https://doaj.org/api/v2/search/journals/issn:2045-2322).
      • OS: updates in OA app from DOAJ on a regular basis possible
      • need more considerations
      • follow up needed
  • Request from Christina Prell regarding field for actual bank paymenr amount
    • OS: planned approach for this is to introduce a new (optional) field for this
    • OS: needs changes to in-app Open-APC report
    • OS: not the ideal workflow for that but it's needed
    • OS: also want to speak with Dennis (ACQ SIG) whether there are plans for Invoices to accomplish that
    • OS: to create Jira ticket for this
    • follow up with CP (not present today) to make sure that the approach meets the need
  • CS: Are we going to implement Tags in OA?
    • the actual general implementation of Tags is not finished; no deleting and managing of Tags
    • we need to collect use cases and think about how to meet this use cases
  • CS: Are we going to have Notes on OA?
    • maybe not just the notes application; some difficulties with that from Agreement experiences
    • notes are somewhat used to record information that don't fit in other fields; no good way of record structured information on tenant-need-level
    • we need to collect special use cases
    • maybe better to implement "supplementary properties" like in Agreements
