Implementer’s topics # 116

Dennis Bridges

  • “It would be great if POLs could be filtered by Vendor Acct Number. We have multiple accounts with some vendors, eg. EBSCO & GOBI.”

  • Lisa Smith, Mich State 12:17 PM
It is possible to search by account number, but there's not a filter.

  • Reason why search does not meet this need?

    • Less flexibility

    • Filter can be more reliable - if not typed just right may not come up.

  • Create a story for this

  • Michigan State uses search by account number and then filter by order date. Would be nice to have a filter with a list to choose from.

  • Would this be helpful to have as a multi-select?

    • Lisa Smith, Mich State 12:20 PM
      I would like multi-select

    • Kimberly Smith - Multiple approval plans with GOBI and all have different account number. If trying to look at everything ordered through approval, multi-select would be great.

  • Post-filter? - If you did search you would only want to see vendor account numbers included in the search results.

    • Don’t think any of filters in orders behave like a facet where list of possibilities is populated based on the results you got.

      • Sara Colglazier 12:23 PM
        Right, not like in Inventory

Implementer’s topics # 118

  • Create inventory setting - trying to create items but not creating holdings. No way to add item to existing holdings/instance.

  • Create instance/holdings/item and them from dropdown for the holdings choose existing holdings and then create item on that holdings.

  • If you choose an existing instance, then orders app will not create a new instance.

  • Also a matching behavior based on product ID.

  • Had to turn off matching as a key to turning on API ordering. If ordering a duplicate it wouldn’t go through if that feature was turned on.

  • ~:28 discussion regarding instance matching

  • If the instance chosen has holdings, will give choice to select holdings. Can also select create new holdings for location.

  • Part B - adding temporary location

    • Have system where faculty order an item. Once item is created in system it becomes requestable. Automated system starts sending out notice of book. Would like temporary location of reserves that won’t allow requests to accumulate.

    • Don’t create a hold request?

      • Can you put the hold on it before you receive it?

        • Yes, but called a recall. If it’s on order it has to be a recall.

          • Kristin Martin 12:37 PM
We are still on Orchid and we can place hold requests on On Order items

        • Can use the UUID in requests or start from inventory UI. (In item record, create request from there.)

        • First time without barcode will give weird message. Close out go back in and it will work. (Bug in certain releases - Fixed in Poppy).

      • After ordering - can change loan policy

:40

Implementer’s topics # 119

  • Enable change of default loan type for item when creating a PO line.

  • Allowing a user to change the temporary loan type would make it possible to keep newly received pieces from matching with existing loan requests.

    • So that they can be delivered first to the person who requested the purchase.

  • Jira Legacy
    serverSystem Jira
    serverId01505d01-b853-3c2e-90f1-ee9b165564fc
    keyUXPROD-4243

  • Control loan type from POL

  • Not all order materials will have the same loan type. Users should be able to set the permanent loan type of the material at point of order.

  • ~:52 - Users want to be able to populate that actual permanent loan type and temporary loan type.

  • Add any additional comments to UXPROD-4243

  • Would be great to have something that lets us checkbox that an item cannot be requested until physically arrived. Once received, whatever is going to be happening to them, will happen to them.

    • Wouldn’t put the block on if someone has actually requested it.
