Inventory browse classification settings

Description

Purpose: We are implementing the ability to browse by Instance classification types - LC, Dewey, and Classification (all). In order to determine how to sort classification types, there needs to be a way to select configured classification types per each browse option to create clear references and constant values to process the shelving order. Therefore, we need a new section in settings for this configuration.

Scope:

  • New settings section called “Classification browse” above “Classification identifier types”

  • Table that contains the current browse classification types:

    • Library of Congress classification

    • Dewey Decimal classification

    • Classification (all)

  • For each option, from a list that contains all Classification types that are configured, allow users to indicate which Classification types should be sorted based on specific option's shelving order algorithm.

Hi Here is a mock under the folder “Classification browse” showing that idea. Let me know if it needs any edits. Thanks!

Hey , thanks for these! Is there any way we can create a mock that shows the alternative approach:

  • New settings section for “Classification browse” (before “Classification identifier types”

  • Table with three rows:

    • Classification (all)

    • Dewey Decimal classification

    • Library of Congress classification

  • The same design of the multi-select for each option

The reason I’m asking is because this data (the classification types and the sorting/browse options) are retrieved through different endpoints, so it may be technically more feasible to use this approach.

Hi Here are some mocks that show what we talked about in our meeting today. Please let me know if you see anything that needs to be edited. Thanks!
