Loans: Title Should be Link to Instance Record

Description

Purpose: Make title a link to instance record for easy access

Scenarios:

  1. Scenario

    • Given the Title on Loans (both Open and Closed Loans tabs)

    • When displayed

    • Then it should be a link to the associated instance record (should also be possible to right click and open in a new tab - not sure if that comes automatically now or if it needs to be specified)

Mike's comment notwithstanding, GitHub thinks this was included in v2.11.0.

Hey, folks: I don't think this got done yet, did it? If I'm right, we need to re-tag it to v2.12.0, not as at present v2.11.0.

Given that CIRC-37 will block this change, Jakub Skoczen Cate Boerema Charlotte Whitt please can you advise if I should prioritise this over other changes?

, this isn't a high priority. Let's just wait until you take care of CIRC-37 and deal with it after that. Looks like the issues are all linked together now.

Agree , according to the data model an item/holding record is related to an instance - see model https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=5854462.

Many moths ago we started out with Item records being kind of a mix of an instance record and an item record, BUT now we have the metadata elements being definded and e.g. metadata like title, creator, publisher, publication date, etc. are part of the Instance record, and the item record ONLY have following metadata elements: Temporary Location, Item Barcode, Enumeration, Chronology, Piece Identifier, Number of Pieces, Item Note, Loan Type, and Item Status - see list https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/display/PLATFORM/Inventory+Metadata+Elements
