The 'loading dots' looks very elegant. I like that solution, and now my little eye doesn't notice any flickering when looking at a newly created user, or switching between users. I'll close the issue as done.

Please see if there's anything else we can do to help the experience here aside from the 'loading dots'. Thanks!

I've committed code to remedy the closing/expanding detail view when switching users. Remedy to fix that needed to happen anyways.
I'm not exactly sure it helps with this particular issue... but I believe that the flicker may also be related to STCON-26 which is a bit out of my wheelhouse.

You may have already noticed this, but the flickering occurs when switching between existing users as well.

Looks like there are a few dimensions to this issue, but I think it's mainly due to the way the UI behaves when a user is selected from the list - there's always a slight delay after you click the row before the detail pane appears. This delay is obvious when selecting one user, then another, then another - the detail pane closes/opens for each switch. A better thing to do might be to open the pane and THEN show the content - this would at least keep the pane open during the transition and keep the layout from shuffling so disruptively.
When creating a new user, having filled out the new user form, and then clicking the 'create new user' button:
Then the 'User details' view for the newly created user, which is focused in the right pane, is shown by updating looking like two 'blink' (in Chrome, and Safari).
