Include Authority References and Auth/Ref in Select a MARC authority record plug-in
Description
Based on feedback from LOC catalogers, they find displaying References beneficial in helping to decide which authority records to link to a bib field.
Requirements: Select a MARC authority record plug-in
Under Search toggle
Include References and Auth/Ref results
Add the below References filter
Display under Authority source facet
Under the Browse toggle
Include Reference results
Include the Reference filter as shown below
Display under Authority source facet
Search Results list
Change column heading from Authorized to Authorized/Reference
The column should now display applicable values Authorized, Auth/Ref, Reference
Link icon and Link button should only display for results with value Authorized
If the value is Reference then user is able to click on the Heading/Reference to view the Authority record and the 4XX value should be highlighted (no different from MARC authority app behavior)
If the value is Auth/Ref then user is able to click on the Heading/Reference to view the Authority record and the 5XX value should be highlighted (no different from MARC authority app behavior)

Good point . I will create a separate requirement to support your suggestion.

There is requirement:
Link icon and Link button should only display for results with value Authorized
If it is from LOC that s ok.
But is it really make sens ?
Consider scenario:
I pick reference (4xx)
I got view full MARC authority record
Shouldn't I be able to pick reference and get a chance to link authorized to the bib rec? Because we open the same record in fact, no matter if I pick reference (4xx) or authorized (1xx) it is still the same record with authorized content in field (1xx)
