I did few simple test.
Scenario:
Edit Bib rec with MARC SRS
Enter 1xx/6xx/7xx
Hit chain icon
You will get Authority screen
Find something with Reference 24f.png
View record in MARC
Hit Link button (the blue one - upper right corner) 25f.png
Check bib rec.
Expectation:
you should get content from 1xx (auth) in bib rec. 26f.png

Ok - the requires back-end change only was for the results list - but we dropped so no back-end changes are needed fo hover text Link <<1XX value>>.

Agree with you that no change should be made to the results list just change the Link button detail record
Regarding the hover text - If it requires back-end change to show the hover text Link <<1XX value>> then if MOL can do it then great but I think it is also just as fine to just state Link authorized heading

I think we misunderstanding.
I thought that You wish to show the name of heading record ex. "Link Smith John (1946-1987)" (the name, date etc from 1xx Marc field) in tooltip over the linking button (detailed view) not just the sentence "Link authorized heading" - that case is not a problem at all.
But still in search results list in "Chain icon" I don't see the point of showing tooltip over the chain icon (referenced record) with sentance "Link authorized heading" it's not telling with is the right auhtority record.
Let's leave "Browse results list" as it is now without link "chain icon" on reference record and make some changes on detail view record whatever tooltip will show only the sentance "Link authorized heading" or as I would prefer ex "Link Smith John (1946-1987)" - it's up to you.

I don't want to be forced to remember all authorized records in my authority, and make to many searches
So I would like to be able to have a link button always when I open authority records during cataloging process. No matter if it authorized or reference. Because it is still the same record with the same (the only one) heading

Find instance with MARC source
Action / Create/Edit/Derive MARC bib
Insert f.eg. 650 (or any other field wich is controlled by authority
Hit Link to MARC authority record (chain icon)
find something in Authority f.eg. Norridgwog Indians
You wont't be able link it because it is reference (in this case from field 450)
But this record has got heading: Norridgewock people
So I have to close the record and search for Norridgewock people
And after this I can link the record
Conclusions: to many clicks, and too many unnecessary searches
Suggested Scenario to implement with this story:
Find instance with MARC source
Action / Create/Edit/Derive a MARC bib
Insert f.eg. 650 or any linkable MARC bib field number
Hit Link to MARC authority record (chain icon)
Click on a reference f.eg. Norridgwog Indians
Show the Link button to link the 1XX on the record to the bib field
Authorized heading should appear in the bib field
Summary / expectations:
On a detail record, always display the Link button when user clicks on an Authorized or Reference results from the Results list
Need to be able link this record to the edited bib record
