Select member institutions for consortia management

Description

Purpose: When defining consortia settings, defaults and configurations, authorized consortia staff need to select some or all member libraries with which to associate a given setting, default and/or configuration. Staff require an interface to designate affected member institutions.

User story statement(s):

As a central consortium administrator
I want to associate settings, defaults and configurations with specified member institutions
so that only the desired member institutions receive the new or updated settings, defaults and/or configurations.

Scenarios:

  1. Scenario

    • Given that an authorized user is working within Consortium manager

    • When that user is on any Consortium manager screen

    • Then there should be a "Select members" button which is active for any staff member authorized to use Consortium manager

  2.  Scenario:

    • Given that I am authorized staff member working within Consortium manager

    • When I select the Select members button on any given screen

    • Then I should be presented with a selectable list of member tenants I am authorized to manage

  3. Scenario:

    • Given Scenario 2

    • When I am presented with a selectable list of member libraries

    • Then all member tenants with which my user account is associated will be selected by default

  4. Scenario

    • Given Scenario 3

    • When all eligible member tenants have been selected

    • Then I should be able to de-select and re-select individually or "de/select all"

  5. Scenario (filtering)

    • Given that I am presented with a selectable list of member libraries

    • When I enter data into the "filters" box

    • Then the list of member libraries should be filtered as I type

  6. Scenario

    • Given that a user is not authorized to manage configurations for a particular member institution

    • When the list of member institution is presented to that user

    • Then the institution(s) for which that user is not authorized do NOT appear in the list

  7.  Scenario:

    • Given that an authorized user has clicked "Select members"

    • When the Select members modal appears

    • Then an alert appears at the top saying "Settings for the following selected members can be modified at the same time" AND the total number of selected members appears at the bottom of the modal.

  8.  Scenario

    • Given that a user has one or more members selected

    • When that user is logged into FOLIO

    • Then the selection should remain persistent until that user logs out of FOLIO or manually changes the selection.

My mistake. Please follow the normal pattern.

Mikita SiadykhJune 14, 2023 at 3:11 PM

even for partial matches we need to press button Search,   question is about "the list of member libraries should be filtered as I type", FOLIO patter is to search when Search button is pressed (good example is permissions modal, POL search and other plugins)

Joseph ReimersJune 14, 2023 at 3:07 PM

We should follow whatever pattern is normal for searching, including partial matches

Mikita SiadykhJune 14, 2023 at 3:02 PM

everywhere we need to press Search button, otherwise why do we need it?

Joseph ReimersJune 14, 2023 at 2:47 PM

Hi ,

The behavior is that as I enter text in the search box, the results list will grow smaller as text is entered based on input. This is consistent with search behavior elsewhere.
