Retain "x" icon in the Inventory app search box - investigate UX patterns

Description

Overview: In we implemented the ability to expand the search boxes. Because of these changes, the ability to reset a query by selecting the "x" icon was lost. This ticket is to review UX patterns and include the "x" icon along with the expandable functionality.

Requirements:

  • Determine UX pattern for including both the "x" icon and the expand icon

  • Implement the ability to reset query with the "x" icon along with the expand icon
