Description

Current situation/problem: Currently, the query boxes in Inventory Search and Browse are not expandable which may make it difficult to enter/review long query strings.

Requirements

  • On Inventory Instance/Holdings/Item Search toggles and the Browse toggles, make the query box expandable

    • Match current implementation for MARC authority app Search/Browse

  • Size of input field should not be retained when switching between Instance/Holdings/Item tabs

Hey &   - I created a separate story to retain the "x" along with the expand icon. Though I also added that we need to investigate UX patterns to do so: https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UIIN-2703

Hey   and , I think we should have it but 

  1. Lets create a separate story as we may want to apply as a UX pattern.

  2. Lets review some other websites to see what they do

Moving this ticket to PO review as all 4 found unexpected/questionable behaviors will not be addressed, as stated above

Hey and , 

For issues 1-3 we do not need to worry about retaining the size of the input field. 

For issue 4, we don't need to prevent the user from making the whole pane too narrow in this ticket.
