Background Information

What is the current ILS at your institution?

LMS: Libero 6 (https://libero.com.au/), self-hosted

ERM: amsl (home-made ERM based on OntoWiki), self-hosted

How is your implementation team organized?


Has your institution hired additional staff? How were they funded?


Is your institution planning to be hosted? Self-hosting? Still considering both options? Please explain.

We will host tenants for 4 Saxon libraries. We are currently preparing a test system, a production system is planned for autumn 2019.

Is your institution considering a partial implementation, such as the ERM first? Please explain.

We start with partial implementation: ERM (agreements, licenses, eUsage), Acquisition (orders, vendor, finances, invoices), users, if the workflow requires inventory.

Does your institution plan to run FOLIO in parallel with your current ILS? How long? Please explain.

Yes, in the first phase it replaces just our ERM. We are planning a more detailed gap analysis in 2019. Based on the results, we are providing developer resources to help close these gaps. A complete implementation is difficult to estimate. Probably after 2020.

How sure are you of the plans described above? Why or why not?

Well, we are optimistic that the corresponding modules will be available in a usable version. I would feel safer if enough resources were reserved for post-implementation troubleshooting.

What concerns do you have? What do you hope to get out of participating in this group?

Maybe to plan a joint prioritisation of outstanding tasks for ERM partial implementation and to communicate this?
