He will work on fleshing out these topics, and he hopes to share some concrete documents with the group before the meeting.
*RM Charge
- The group reviewed the charge posted on the Resource Management page. We agreed that this charge represented the group well, but lacked any description of functionality related to selection, decision-making, and collection analysis. We will amend the charge to reflect that the RM group will be considering these areas when developing the transactional features, to ensure it can be supported in the future.
- We also discussed an ongoing approach to meetings as the size of the group grows.
- We need to balance the desire to represent many institutions and views with the need to form small, effective working groups.
- One possible model is:
- Meet weekly about selected topics. Recruit a small group each week with expertise in a particular topic.
- Hold large group meetings monthly to provide updates and discuss broader issues.
- Use Slack and the wiki to provide regular updates.
Next week
- Filip will provide more concrete details regarding prep for the f2f meeting
- Filip and Jacob may bring some discussion points for the group
