Number Generator is planned to be included in the Quesnalia release
Initial implementation focuses on 5 fields:
Vendor Code
User Barcode
Accession Number
Call No
Item Barcode
Detailed documentation on the usage of the Output Template field for number sequence configuration will be created and linked to directly from the UI
Question - Should (or will) adding direct links to the documentation from the UI become common practice in other areas of FOLIO?
There will be 3 settings options in Users:
Number generator disabled
Number generator enabled but optional
Number generator enabled and mandatory
Amelia confirmed that the view-only settings permission for the Users number generator settings should be included in the Settings (Users): Can view general entries permission.
