Notes

WOLFcon

  • Tuesday: item status requirements (morning), TBA (afternoon)
    • Developers will be able to attend
  • Wednesday: user import & protected fields (morning), resource types/material types/format (afternoon), TBA (afternoon)
    • patron notices might be a good topic for open slot
    • developers have their own meetings on Wednesday, so won't be able to attend
  • Thursday: anonymizing loan data, single-tenant consortia
  • Nothing from Filip or UX/UI team

Loan policy

  • If item is not loanable, needs modal & possibility of override (where a due date would be specified)
  • If non-renewable, also need a modal - would know when the due date should be (default) but also allow change
  • Review of how loan type, loan rule, loan policy intersect
    • Loan rule takes loan type, patron, etc. into account to decide which loan policy to apply
  • Cate will present more at a later date, also on service point

Requests messaging

  • If checking out to the right patron at the right location, no modal needed
  • If checking out to right patron somewhere other than the pick-up location, no modal, but maybe a message to staff so that they can detect problems
  • If checking out at the designated pick-up location but not to the patron next in line...
    • need to be able to override and give to the patron who has it hand (rare)
      • how would this happen? does reordering queue need to be higher priority?
    • need to be able to investigate and see if the wrong book was pulled off the shelf (common)
  • Tania will send out full list
