  • Data Export and Data Import flow: This is an operator error rather than a bug. If you export a file and then you go to import it and use the default profile, there is an error and the problem comes from the 999ff. The default profile is trying to create a new one when there is already a 999ff in the record. View Source disabled in Kiwi, concerns exported files being reimported with the 999. See workaround in issue.

    • Slow downs encountered when data import job is running for single imports and overlays. This Spike is a story rather than a bug. How do we track a story? We need to consider what the support group is also doing as this group is tracking bugs rather than stories. We should rethink how we do this so that we can track these issues. Could you block the issue until the Spike is completed? Ann-Marie has raised the priority of this.
  • Meet the teams which include Roadmaps. Modules Matrix: The preference is to go through the POs for comments and questions.

Kiwi Release Notes: These are still being worked on. Here are some highlights below grouped by topic or app:

  • Data Export:
  • MARC Holdings records:
    • And Data Import: MARC Holdings during data import flow, we should use pre-defined MARC Holdings source (which is created in the reference data with pre-defined id = 036ee84a-6afd-4c3c-9ad3-4a12ab875f59).
    • Functionality in Kiwi: This wiki page explains how you can test MARC holdings records in snapshot.

    • These concern the holdings, items, and instance records. We are some steps closer to the administrative notes for instances, holdings, and items.
  • Mapping rules: This only applies to institutions that have custom mapping rules. This is for the marc-bib.
    • If you have both custom and the default mapping rules, make sure to follow these steps for consistency:
        1. Send GET request to  /mapping-rules/marc-bib to retrieve the mapping rules
        2. Send PUT request to /mapping-rules/marc-bib and put in the body the result of step 1
        3. Use the script to clear irrelevant records in the db (make sure the correct tenant name is used in the script)
  • quickMARC permissions:
    • View and edit MARC holdings record
  • OAI-PMH
    • Holdings without associated items are now included in the response
    • Harvesting times have improved. Baseline reports and release comparisons. To implement this, you will need to run the reindex (see release notes)

    • This concerns creating a new API and db table that should store and represent information for the Data Import landing page. More for those using the API or accessing data via the db (such as LDP, perhaps Panorama?).
  • Identifier UUIDs as text values rather than json stream changed approved. This will help those working with the API or accessing the data via the db. This is to speed up the process of saving the UUIDs. This is Lotus
  • See our New MM SIG Release Notes Highlights wiki page.

    • Question about the edits by different users on the same record. Whoever Which ever user saves second will cause the edits of the first action from the other user to disappear. Optimistic locking will be turned on for Lotus. For Data Import, most of the time the issue will be on the user side where the manual updates will take longer.Inventory is working on improving the error messages.
    PC update

There were updates for all the SIG conveners. For MM SIG, the discussion revolved around more timely announcements when underlying functionality changed that had implications for institutions. The example were changes to property names that broke some of the reports. Jennifer Eustis has volunteered to dig into release notes and changes.

This is about swapping postgres sql to elastic search

    . This

and is currently being worked on. For Lotus, the filters will display the number of records. The switch to elastic search also includes the Instance Lookup component.

Record header: In the item record, now you can link directly to holdings or instance record.

Bound with UI display has been worked on which includes the icon. The item record has a new Bound with accordion. The

instance lookup component will not rely on elastic search rather than the postgres sql.

Boundwith UI display has been worked on.

    There are POL

bound with work here is when items are being related to multiple holdings. See Bound with slides.

POL's can be connected to holdings and items and and now can be seen in holdings via the element called Acquisition which provides POL data in that holdings record that links out to the POL in the Orders App.

Under optimistic locking, errors messages will be more human readable. Browse will also be a new feature for the Inventory search in addition to Administrative Note in instances, holdings, and items. Sorting by publication date will be available as well as being able to search by index title. For Morning Glory, there are plans for a hierarchical display of the result list and improvements on how to present data in the 3rd pane and adding summary data of the instance.

Query searches are useful for searching for options that are not in the drop down. One big win is that the number of results from the search is exact with elastic search. Right now this number is the exact count of instances.

    Tips for query searches (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1u7kjVh-lQahp-SUEGgGWDyw65LtYRXEdYi_lyier2k4/edit#gid=901484405
). The tabs have examples for each record type. Does the query search support boolean search? Charlotte will explore that more. Eventually there will be advanced search that will support boolean searches.

What about statistical codes?  This might be implemented on the back end already and are documented. This is a facet and needs to be explored.

Keyboard shortcuts have been implemented. There are a couple of bugs when using it for holdings and items. Everything will be ready for Lotus for all FOLIO record types.

Navigation improvements: At the top of the holdings record, the instance title is now a link that brings you to the instance.

    Bound-with API
    • Demo how to use the bound-with API to create bound-with relationships as long as we are waiting for UXPROD-3080

In the future, the Accordion table will include hotlinks. Right now, it is just information. Also, the item that is linked to multiple holdings should show up when you view those holdings. This is work to be done.

Using the API, you can create, edit, or delete these relationships. This will work in Juniper but will only display starting with Kiwi.

Is there an indication which holdings record has the item attached to it initially? There is a flag at the instance level which is true or false. When there is a bound with relationship, the instance title changes color.
