5 minsWelcomeDale

Note taker wanted. Patty will convene Aug 20 and 27. Most US institutions will be closed on Sept 3, so I suggest we have no meeting that day.

A discussion began to clarify the tasks related to identifying "historical data." Sharon Markus agreed to draft some questions to circulate to the FOLIO community to see what scools are thinking about what constitutes historical data and how the data needs to be accessed to be useful. Some questions to explore: What do we mean by "historical data" and "What problem are we trying ?to solve by migrating the data?" Dale says the data is a "rag-bag of things." Sharon will draft the questions and share around; the whole group will discuss next week at the 8/20 meeting.

30 minsLoansVarious

The main topic for this week's meeting will be loans. We plan to complete our gap analysis, and pass our spreadsheet along to the RA SIG. Spreadsheet is here.

The discussion points:

the gaps on the spreadsheet are things that exist in user's systems that don't seem to have a corresponding FOLIO data element in the loan data. IT doesn't mean there is no such data element, just that this group hasn't identified it in FOLIO at this time. It was pointed out that FOLIO is a bit of a moving target at this time.

It was pointed out that many of the functions listed as gaps are currently available in test - Charlotte pointed out the current item UX wireframe: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Sr-G0HUR18uCTU0v5yYKIV92ZGXFLu9c

Items under Closed loans are historical data and perhaps should be handled there.

Tod will talk to Emma about these gaps to further the discussion.

20 minsVendorsVarious

We hope to make a first pass on a gap analysis for the Vendors module. The Vendors spreadsheet is here.

Discussion:

The difficulty with mapping the Vendors module is the lack of understanding what the headings mean. Dale said we can't wait for a dictionary and should plow through, but Uschi reported a bug in the testing makes it impossible to add vendors in test. Also, Required fields are not marked as required so entries fail and it looks like it's not working.

Patty volunteered to follow up with Dennis Bridges, the PO of the Vendor app, to ask for a data dictionary and mention that Dale had already contacted David Crossley.

Comment Uschi (added 8/15): http://folio-snapshot-stable.aws.indexdata.com is OK now. We can try to compare the fields with the UI. In the spreadsheet I have added a column "UI name" and a column "Description / Examples / Values". I hope we can bring the necessary information together.
