Minutes

Owen Stephens presented the work in progress OA Request app. During presentation and discussion the following points were made:

Publication type:

• • Add "Book chapter"

    • Need to look at what metadata we need to capture for that

Article type:

• • List of 5-10 values

  • Probably could get agreement on these

  • The eligibility of the type is defined by contract

  • Could have the list of values and eligible/non-eligible in the contract

Publisher:

• • Typedown rather than just a list select

License values:

• • <10

  • need to get the list from the group

Journal OA status:

• • We need the option to capture the OA status of the journal (e.g. Hybrid, Fully OA, Diamond) at the time of the request

  • We also need the option to capture the DOAJ status of the journal at the time of the request

  • Prioritise recording the OA Status/DOAJ with the request

Agreements

• • Conditions can change over time

  • How much data do we need to record with the request?

  • Maybe need to look at being able to show "agreement at time of request"

Publication status

• • Need "Published online" vs "Published in issue"

  • Add "Rejected"

Book requests

• • Need to have X (2) Quotes to allow for funding
