Settings - Users - Refund reasons

Libraries can configure reasons for refunds. This populates a drop-down menu when a refund transaction is done on a user record.

Refund reasons are not configurable by fee/fine owner - they are set up as tenant-wide values.

To Create a Refund Reason:

  1. Open Settings → Users → Refund reasons.
  2. Click New on the right.
  3. Give a name to the Refund reason - this value is what will show up in the drop-down menu.
  4. Provide a description, if desired.
  5. Click Save in the Actions column to save your changes.

To Modify a Refund Reason:

  1. Open Settings → Users → Refund reasons.
  2. Click the Pencil icon in the Actions column for the Refund Reason that you wish to modify.
  3. Make your changes.
  4. Click Save in the Actions column to save your changes.

To Delete a Payment Method:

If a refund reason is used in a transaction, can it still be deleted?

  1. Open Settings → Users → Refund reasons.
  2. Click the Trashcan icon for the Refund reason you wish to delete.
  3. Select Delete to confirm.
