  • Bug Fest in slack is a public account and anyone can join
  • testing is through March 17th.
  • Would like to have a SIG bug fest wrangler to work on managing the Acq cases and keeping the SIG updated on where things are.
    • Kimberly Pamplin will give the role a try for the next one

Dennis
  • Acquisition Units in Acquisitions Area
  • If the users in Inventory are not assigned to an Acq unit, the order data does not show up.
  • Lisa Smith, Mich State 12:24 PM
We would want catalogers to see the linked orders.  If they bring in a different record to use, we want them to reconnect the order to the new inventory record.
  • Dennis: The work around is to remove the view restriction in the ACQ unit. Anyone can view it, but not edit it.
  • What are your use cases for restricting visibility of orders?
    • Julie: We are not implementing Acq units.
  • Lisa Smith, Mich State 12:29 PM
We would like folks to other acq units to see we have an order, but we don't want the price to display (nda).
  • Suzette Caneda 12:29 PM
We're using Acq Unit mostly to restrict viewing financial information. So showing the limited order info in the instance is fine for us
  • Peter Sbrzesny 12:33 PM
We are not using acq units yet but we think we could need them to set restrictions in the financial area. But usually cataloguing and ordering are done by the same staff so I think it is ok to see acq data in inventory.
  • Kimberly Smith 12:41 PM
If the order for the acq unit was the only instance, would circulation be able to see it at all, or does the permission only restrict the POL data?
    • Dennis: There is not an Acq unit on the instance itself.
  • UIIN-2292 - issue behind this conversation.
