PREVIEW BIB RESOURCE

Purpose / Objective

As a cataloger, I need the ability to see how the resource I described using the Linked Data Editor will be viewed in different displays, so that I can determine if the record is complete and ready for publication

• Preview made available as a distinct function in the Edit / Create modes for individual resource descriptions

• The Preview should act as a modal that 'hovers' over the edit / create mode of the application

  • Preview displays component values of the resource description cached locally 

  • Preview mode is read only

  • Cataloger exits / closes the modal return to edit / create mode for making additional changes

• Options for previewing a resource description in the Marva application:

  • MARC view

  • BF2 view

  • Patron view / OPAC
