When adding an item to a reserves list that already has a temporary location assigned it is changed without letting the user know that there is a temporary location assigned to it.

In scope

When adding items to a reserves list see if a temp location has already been assigned.

• If a temp location exists:

  • Alert the user that the item already has a temporary location.

  • Display the currently assigned temporary location.

  • Give the user the option to change or keep the temporary location already assigned.

Out of scope

• The updating of automated processes to handle items that currently have a temp location assigned (will be handled via another JIRA).

• The storage of the temporary location that is currently assigned to the item (will be handled via another JIRA).

Use case(s)

• A library location is currently closed and the items have been moved to a new location, the temporary location field has been used to store its new location. A staff member wishes for the item to go on reserve but is unaware it has a temporary location.

• An item is already on reserve for another course and has been assigned a temporary location. A staff member places it on reserve for another location not knowing it is already on reserve for another course or at another location.
