It can be helpful to libraries to be able to see how many items are on reserve for a course at a glance. This can help with answering faculty questions and with quick quality control checks on work.

In scope

• Surface the reserve count added to the course display under https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UXPROD-4043 to the search result display in Courses.

Out of scope

• Exporting search result list

Use case(s)

• A library staff member is doing a pre-semester audit to ensure that the number of items on the reserve shelf matches the number of reserves associated to a filtered term.

  • Mike Taylor points out that count in the list-of-courses view, that is a much bigger job as the back-end doesn’t tell us that information, and likely can’t get it without doing an expensive search per course. So just a FYI, and that work would need funding, if Index Data is to pick that up.
