Purpose: To determine the right kind of messaging for when the Preferred Contact Method in the User Details form references a field that is not populated. For example, if I have selected Preferred Contact Method = Email and Email is not populated, I want to be warned when I save the record (and/or perhaps immediately).
Need UX input on how this should work. The requirement is that, if I try to save a User record and the Preferred Contact Method that has been selected references a field that has not been populated, I should be warned (but should be able to ignore the warning and save the record anyway). Not sure if this can use field-level validation or some page-level thing (toast?) or both.
For Reference:
Please see the field-level validation designs done as part of LIBAPP-94 and LIBAPP-116
Please also see LIBAPP-130 which references another validation need - these should probably all be considered together.
