UX: Change due date

Description

awaiting approval from RA SIG

Purpose: To create mockups based on functionality agreed on with Loans subgroup.

Existing wireframes use a modal, but the subgroup expressed interest in being able to view the full loan details while changing the due date. That, plus the need for confirmation/warning dialogue, suggests that a modal may not be the best solution, though it's the pattern used by existing systems.

Subgroup also would like to bulk-edit change due date from the checkout screen.

Hi So since the RA SIG agreed today (4/30) to the mocks:

are you OK with closing this story?

Hi and . I've updated the Change due date modals to include a column for Call number. I also moved the action buttons on the modal to the far right. and I met last week and discussed that we eventually want to update the styles of the modals and move the buttons, so I did that on these mocks.

Can we close this story and decide at a later point to include the "Process as" notion?

The service point indicates the operational desk where you are working (usually a circ desk). The selected service point will determine things like what calendar is used when determining due dates and whether or not an item is considered "home" when it is checked in. So it will impact behavior on the Check out, Check in, Loans and Loan details. Given that, it probably makes sense to have it's selection span multiple apps (so live somewhere above the app selection or in account settings).

NOTE: Darcy's mockups of the Check in page offered a menu for selecting an alternate service point for the check in transactions ("Process as"). We haven't implemented it yet, as we are still blocked by the Service point implementation. But I wonder if that service point override menu should really live within a certain app like this or if it should be done more generally from the cross-app menu. Let me know if you have any thoughts on this.
