Renewal succeeds without override when calendar is absent for loan service point

Overview:
Steps to Reproduce:

In IRIS bugfest
 
User  with permissions: view loans, renew loans, renew loans through override

Loan L with following characteristics:

  • Loan policy that says item is loanable and renewable, with one of the following characteristics:

    • due date schedule not containing system date if loan policy is set to renew from system date

    • due date schedule not containing current due date if loan policy is set to renew from current due date

  • Item status is checked out, not at maximum number of renewals and has no open requests

Click on renewal

Expected Results: Error message - Calendar timetable is absent for requested date

         Override modal is displayed
Actual Results: Item is renewed according to loan policy as if calendar existed and due date is on an open day

I just found an open jira assigned to Vega Allow override of failed renewal for "Calendar timetable is absent for requested date"

I read the description here but I have no clue how to address it.

That is likely because this is either a back end bug to fix (rather than front end) assuming this override flow exists already (I don't think it does) or if the override flow does not already exist, this will likely require back and front end changes. I personally wouldn't consider that a bug (rather a missing behaviour).
