    • Given a loan for an item that has aged to lost

    • When viewing loan details

    • Then show the aged to lost action in the loan action history

      • Action date: use date and time item aged to lost

      • Action: Aged to lost

      • Due date: same due date as previous row in action history

      • Item status: Aged to lost

No, it always happens in the background. If you need an aged to lost loan, you can set up a lost item fee policy which will age to lost very quickly (after a minute) and/or use change due date to manipulate loans to get items to age to lost.

"Anyway, I think the record last updated metadata could be considered a special case and we could leave that as Automated process while using System elsewhere. Automated process is used as the source for a record that is created directly in the DB (e.g. when you are migrating). It's not really FOLIO that is doing that so Automated process makes more sense there. In the case of something aging to lost, that really is a FOLIO action so System makes sense there."
