Date Error When Adding New User

Description

Overview: Added a new user and assigned some dates (date enrolled and date expired) using date picker which showed mm/dd/yyyy as the format. Saved the new user and got an error seemingly related to date format.

Steps:

  1. Log into folio-testing

  2. Create a new user and populate date enrolled and date expired by picking dates using the date picker (which should display mm/dd/yyyy as the format)

  3. Save the new user

Expected: Saves without error

Actual: Saves but attached error displays

Additional Info: I checked Settings > Org >Language and localization to see which locale was selected and nothing was selected.

Manually tested in FOLIO test http://folio-testing.aws.indexdata.com/, @folio/users 2.8.0 using Chrome.

I tested with the locale setting to be German (Settings > Organization > Language and localizations).

  • I can add a new user.

  • I don't get any error messages.
    All looks good.

Re. my comment on the missing Settings - using the default value (- - -) which apparently is set to be English_US (but I guess this has been decided in another jira issue).

I'll close this issue as done.

Manually tested in FOLIO test http://folio-testing.aws.indexdata.com/, @folio/users 2.8.0 using Chrome.

I added a new user, used the date picker, for date of birth, date enrolled and Expiration date. Saved the new user, without any error messages.

When checking Settings > Organization > Language and localization - nothing is selected - the date format in the New user form was MM/DD/YYYY. See uploaded screen dump.

I had that problem earlier today, thus spent an hour trying to get a ui-users working locally.

FWIW, I cleared my browser cache completely in the process. Whether that was the reason or not, I can now create a new user and get no error with dates:

, are you testing in http://folio-testing.aws.indexdata.com/? Because when I go to that environment Settings is missing and there are no Patron Groups so I can't create a new user.

: I cannot reproduce the described error performing the listed steps at this time on folio-testing.
