79
At Chicago, many POs were migrated from earlier systems, so some have very long PO numbers. When clicking on "Receive" from the drop down menu from the POL, a search is initiated by the POL number to bring up the Receiving record. But the search is a keyword string, as opposed to an exact match.
As a result, if the string of one POL number is contained in another POL number, this results in multiple results, which is confusing.
It would be better to have an exact search to avoid confusion when trying to receive. Example video here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YOw9OH1FMFy6aEfzU2Fn6bbVYBewpdnL/view?usp=sharing. The number "54338" bring ups that POL for receiving but also the POL for "454338." The search for a POL to add to an invoice line has the same issues.
User story statement(s):
As an acquisitions librarian
I need an exact match when I search for Purchase order lines
So that I can find a known purchase order line
Scenarios:
Scenario: Exact match on a Purchase order line
Given the are multiple Purchase Order Lines with containing the same characters
When a user selects "Receive" from the Purchase order menu
Then the only result in Receiving will be an exact match to the Purchase order line number
