Hey yes it is possible.

Khalilah Gambrell May 17, 2023 at 9:12 PM

Hey   is it possible to take the user directly to the resource record?  Definitely a future requirement.

Verified on Snapshot environment - works as expected.
See attached screencast:

Actually I like to consider two options for this requirement

OPTION A

Given user conducts a title search

When the user selects a Package (ex. Wiley Online Library) from the Packages facet

AND clicks on a title

Then take user directly to the title +package record

OPTION B

Given user conducts a title search

AND the user selects a Package (ex. Wiley Online Library) from the Packages facet

AND clicks on a title

WHEN user lands on the title record

THEN the Packages accordion only shows Wiley Online Library

AND the accordion displays that one filter has been selected

If we go with OPTION B which is also described in the user story then to answer Valery's questions

  • GIVEN user views the Packages within modal

    • WHEN they expand the Packages filter and select an additional Package(s)

    • THEN I expect no change to the current behavior of the Packages within functionality. In other words, then only the selected packages will display under the Packages accordion.

  • GIVEN user views the Packages within modal

    • WHEN they expand the Packages filter and remove the selected package

    • THEN I expect no change to the current behavior of the Packages within functionality. In other words, all packages display under the Packages accordion.

  • GIVEN user views the Packages within modal

    • WHEN they expand the Packages filter and remove the selected package and select an package(s)

    • THEN I expect no change to the current behavior of the Packages within functionality.  In other words, then only the selected packages will display under the Packages accordion.

  • GIVEN user views the Packages within modal

    • WHEN they select another filter (i.e. Selection status)

    • THEN I expect no change to the current behavior of the Packages within functionality.  In other words, then only packages that honor the selection status will display under the Packages accordion.

  • Given user has selected a Package from the Packages facet on the title search tab

    • AND user clicks a title

    • When they return to the Title results list

    • Then the title search / title filters selections / packages facet selection is retained (NO change from current functionality)

  • Given user has selected a Package from the Packages facet on the title search tab

    • AND user clicks a title

    • AND accesses the Packages search within modal to update Packages list

    • When they return to the Title results list

    • Then the title search / title filters selections / packages facet selection is retained (NO change from current functionality)

  • Given user has selected a Package from the Packages facet on the title search tab

    • AND user clicks a title

    • AND accesses a title-package (aka Resource record)

    • When they return to the Title results list

    • Then the title search / title filters selections / packages facet selection is retained (NO change from current functionality)

  • Given user has selected a Package from the Packages facet on the title search tab

    • AND user clicks a title

    • AND accesses a title-package (aka resource) record

    • AND edits that record

    • When they return to the Title results list

    • Then the title search / title filters selections / packages facet selection is retained (NO change from current functionality)

Hey
What should happen if the user clicks on multi select with preselected "Package" in "Filter packages" modal (from the last screenshot in description)?
Should user see more (not selected) "Packages"? Or not?
If - yes, then that additional selection shouldn't affect selections and result list in the pane with search for titles results (when user will return to it)?
