MARC - Cannot Edit any bib/authority/holdings record

Description

snapshot is the only environment to reproduce issue. 

  • Go to MARC authority app or to Inventory app 

  • Find an authority record  pr bib record or holdings record

  • Hit Edit 

  • Edit any MARC tag. 

  • Hit Save

Expected outcome: Save successful 

Actual outcome: Get a 500 error. See screenshot.

Issue reported by more tenants below:

  • Durban- After upgrade from Juniper to Kiwi hotfix #2

  • Chalmers- Occurring in Kiwi hotfix #2. Issue observed before Kiwi hotfix #2 as well as reported by the library.

API called: PUT /records-editor/records/{id}
Response: HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. If the issue persists, please report it to EBSCO Connect.

I tested editing of MARC Bibliographic record at Kiwi environment, specifically:
1) Imported (via data import) new bibliographic record and edited it 3 times a row : https://bugfest-kiwi.folio.ebsco.com/inventory/view/97aab1ef-eaba-4a1f-8575-13b10bfd678e?qindex=hrid&query=jiinstt7004704&segment=instances&sort=title 

2) Imported (via import single record OCLC Worldcat) new bibliographic record and edited it 3 times a row: https://bugfest-kiwi.folio.ebsco.com/inventory/view/4c976348-3944-4b36-a806-46ae2d9a0957?filters=source.MARC&query=camaro&sort=title 
3) Edited random bibliographic record with source "MARC" 3 times a row.

Also tested at Lotus BF environment - works as expected.

 Michigan State has reported the following in their test tenant. It seems to relate to this issue, but is there any part of their report that should be included on another ticket?

"In our testing and training in the test database, I'm seeing an error pretty regularly when saving a record in QuickMarc. Upon editing a record (adding fields, deleting fields, editing field data) and clicking Save & Close, it hangs for several seconds, then pops a red error alert saying that it can't connect to the server. The display stays on the record in QuickMarc. If I close the record in QuickMarc and return to the Instance, the change has been made and the Instance is updated. But that slow performance and the error message are strange. Any ideas?" cc:
