Requesting a new feature
To request a new feature for LDP-based reporting, please follow these steps:
- Log in to the FOLIO Jira at https://issues.folio.org/.
- Click on "Create" in the menu bar to create a new issue.
- For "Project" select "Library Data Platform (LDP)".
- For "Issue Type" select "New Feature".
- Fill in the "Summary" and "Description" fields to describe the feature request. If needed, please indicate the relative priority of the feature request within the "Description" field, rather than setting the "Priority" field which should be left in its default state of "TBD".
- Leave all other fields in their default state.
- Click on the "Create" button at the bottom to finish creating the issue.
Viewing feature requests
- Log in to the FOLIO Jira at https://issues.folio.org/.
- Click on "Issues" in the menu bar and then "Search for issues" in the menu.
- Set the "Project" filter to "Library Data Platform (LDP)".
- Set the "Type" filter to "New Feature".
- Set the "Status" filter to "Open".
Converting an existing issue to a feature request (administrative only)
- Set the "Project" to "Library Data Platform (LDP)".
- Set the "Status" to "Open".
- Check that the "Summary" and "Description" fields clearly describe the feature request.
- Set the "Issue Type" (or "Type") to "New Feature".
- Clear the "Affects Version/s" field.
- Clear the "Fix Version/s" field.
- Set the "Priority" to "TBD". If needed, please indicate priority within the "Description" field.
- Set the "Assignee" to "Unassigned".
- Clear the "Epic Link" field.
- Clear the "Sprint" field.
- Clear the "Story Points" field.
- Clear the "Tester Assignee" field.
- Clear the "Analysis Estimate" field.
- Clear the "Analysis Estimator" field.
- Clear the "Back End Estimate" field.
- Clear the "Back End Estimator" field.
- Clear the "Confidence factor" field.
- Clear the "Estimation Notes and Assumptions" field.
- Clear the "Front End Estimate" field.
- Clear the "Front End Estimator" field.
- Clear the "Development Team" field.
- Clear the "UX Lead" field.
- Clear the "Score" field.
- Click on the "Update" button at the bottom to finish converting the issue.
