Assigning Issues

The first step to working on a Reporting JIRA issue is to assign it to yourself so that your colleagues know that someone is already working on it.  Open the issue and follow the instructions as shown in the image below.

Resolving/Closing Issues

The Assignee is able to mark an issue as "in review" (which is, in effect, "resolved"), but only the Reporter has the necessary permission to actually "close" the issue.

(Note: The exception is that Sharon and Holly are admins for the Reporting JIRA project and therefore have the necessary permissions to modify the status–we wouldn't step in unless it is absolutely necessary.)
