Review Loans items on UX-PROD

  • Is there any ambiguity among the listed items?
    • Cancel loan - same as check-in?
    • Loans for an item
      • Both current borrower and (option for institutions) past borrower
      • Historical circulation count (reserves and general)
      • Last time checked in, item status date, item status
  • Are there other missing components that need to be added for V1?
  • Is anything listed not a priority for V1?
    • Normalized call number (UX-PROD 86) 
      • Can export to sort
      • System still needs to be able to do this at a later date
    • Sort by author (UX-PROD 85)
      • Can export to sort
  • Permissions and overrides
    • Discussed in the context of each feature, not an exhaustive list of all permissions/overrides
    • Challenges
      • One-time exceptions
      • Prevent student users from logging in from a dorm but allow other staff to log in from home

Closed loans mockup

  • Many institutions will not or cannot use
  • How many days will it be retained? 
  • Scrub on demand
  • Use cases
    • Problem-solving
    • Fees/fines (though would more often use fees/fines)
    • Patron requests print out
  • Fields
    • Unnecessary: recalls, perhaps loan policy
    • To add: renewals, return date
    • Due date helpful, but not critical
  • Closed loan details - still to be designed
