The SysOps & Management SIG has created a Discovery Integration Subgroup.

The members of this subgroup are people who:

  • Have an interest in integrating FOLIO with a Discovery Integration system

Charge of the Discovery Integration Subgroup

Areas of concern:

  • Real time availability of items and circulation information
  • Availability (access and licensing) information for electronic resources
  • Patron APIs
  • Harvesting and exporting records for discovery indexing. Focuses on OAI-PMH (but could be other ways)

Deliverables:

  • Update Requirements for these areas, so that FOLIO can meet the needs of the community.
  • Improvement mod/edge-rtac, mod/edge-patron and mod/edge-oai-pmh

Timeline

  • A goal of three month is set on the work of this subgroup, which would be about by the end of 2022. This is for the documentation of requirements for integrating discovery systems.
