A concern was raised related to "8 June 2020 – 12 June  2020 (Tuesday) Schema upgrade week. Major modules versions should be released.

Schema upgrade have to be released and tested" - secondary conversation to be held... Oleksii will coordinate with Mark Veksler, Craig McNally , Marc Johnson and potentially others. Most important is to provide clarity to teams in terms of what they are responsible for.

Also need to work to understand the proposed use of JIRA for dependency tracking and planning. Discussions ongoing with Tech Leads and TC will be updated in a couple of weeks.

  • Making progress, gone through evaluations. 2 defects to be fixed
  • Yes - active JIRAs
  • There are some dependencies - Vince to update details
  • Looking to have this released by Module Release Deadline

ABI-002: Cross-Tenancy Support - ability to "cross" tenant boundary for users and data

  • Document exists and a few rounds of discussions 
  • No active development
  • Not blocking anything - generally interest with FLO and 5Colleges (consortia and institutions with multiple libraries)
  • Goal is to reach consensus of this team in Q2 timeframe

ABI-011: Search Engine - Time to designate a Champion - TC members to evaluate for next week.

  • We have a proposal that is collecting comments
  • POC
  • Several problems (hit counts, cross app, cross tenants, Shanghai Public Library) are interested in this (if not blocked)... cautionary note about Shanghai and China's need to push forward - ideally keeping things on the same architecture/etc
  • TBD - hopefully soon

ABI-004: Database Connectivity: tenant; interface; method (Multi-tenancy)

  • Not really active yet
  • Spike happened a year ago (FOLIO-1974)
  • Nothing blocked although some would have concern about the model that we have
  • No timetable yet - Stephen to revisit and make recommendation on urgency

ABI-005: AuthN/Z Refactoring

  • Delayed somewhat by Q2 releases. Partially merged with the Refresh token discussion.
  • Active development on Refresh Token SPIKE(FOLIO-2556). Discussed whether Oauth might fit. More discussion/spikes in next 2 sprints
  • Not blocked
  • Timetable - June 26th for decision/recommendation and hope to implement in Q3

ABI-019: Distributed Transactions

  • Group has met once but people have been pulled into Q2 release activities/priorities
  • No active development
  • Not blocking anything
  • Won't have design recommendations until Q3
