  • About the Reporting SIG meeting schedule

    • Meetings are held on the first 4 Mondays of each month at 11:00 am Eastern U.S. time (see this time in your time zone). The first and third Mondays focus on Reporting Development topics, and the second and fourth Mondays focus on Reporting Business topics.

    • "workshopping" queries could be scheduled during any of these meetings, and it would be great to have topics and/or questions in advance so we can prepare to walk through the answers/approaches, such as "how to I fix this inventory query to get rid of the duplicates?" or "what is the best way to calculate totals in this finance query?"

Ongoing Topics:

  • Workshopping your queries

Review “What is FOLIO Reporting” outline

Scott, Sharon

The PC has a couple of asks for the Reporting SIG that relate to developing a definition of reporting in FOLIO, list of in-app reports in FOLIO, and what a minimum level of reporting in FOLIO would look like.

What is FOLIO Reporting?

Preparing for FOLIO Analytics for Quesnelia

Mike Gorrell

News!

  • CU Boulder has agreed to be the LDP "Beta Partner" YAY!
    • This means they will be the official testbed for new Metadb and FOLIO-Analytics software
    • The process will include their Test and their Production environment. Generally:
      • Deploy to their test environment
        • Run general (regression) and release-specific tests
        • Once 'accepted'...
      • Deploy to Production
        • Run general (regression) and release-specific tests
        • Once 'accepted'... the releases will be officially released
    • Index Data will be working closely with CU Boulder on testing and verification
    • Can the community offer any test ideas (queries, etc.)?
  • New Releases for Metadb (likely 1.4) and FOLIO-Analytics (likely V1.7.9)
    • Targeting Early September for beginning the testing process
    • Communicate via Slack–MG will provide the correct channel
    • Not testing Reporting App because it doesn't change (the underlying source remains the same)
  • Will create a community reference environment

Sharon

We will review topics and issues to prepare for development for the next version of FOLIO Analytics, which is version 1.8 for Quesnelia. Topics will include:

  • derived table updates for donor/organizations changes

    • Need to rewrite derived tables with donor in the PO and donor in organization; new column on organizations table called “is_donor”

    • status code language name export_to_accounting is_vendor erp_code payment_method description liable_for_vat is_donor

  • derived table updates for the Serials app

  • other topics?

LDP software development support

Scott, Sharon

LDP software development: what should our cutoff date be for LDP software and consulting support?

LDP support will cease tentatively at the end of 2024.  All of the JSON will be exposed in metadb soon.
Warning messages to the broader community.  Align completely with named FOLIO releases.  Who is still using LDP and needs to use it

?  Ask Mike?Workshopping QueriesChristiePlease bring any query issues so the group can work through them together.  If possible, please send to Christie Thomas in advanceReporting AppScottAre there any institutions running the Reporting App

?

If so, we'd like to collaborate with you on a plan for a demo of how different institutions are using the Reporting App.
