Allow override of a failed renewal

UIU-1816: Allow override of a failed renewal due to expired user. (Example: a student graduates and account expires.)

Need occasionally, and while there are workarounds, this is considered a “nice to have” option.

Workarounds:

• Activate the user temporarily until new status is assigned.

• Manually change the due date. (This doesn’t work for renewal - item would need to be checked in and then checked back out with new due date.)

Discuss possibility of hidden fields in User record

We need to discuss and make criteria for which fields would be the most commonly hidden in a User record.

In considering hidden fields for privacy, which fields should be hidden?

• Birth date

• Address

• Mobile number

Can we set up more granular “view” permissions?

• Maybe - some of the View permissions are for specific parts of the user record.

• Hiding some fields in the User profile may affect performance in other FOLIO apps.

• We are missing a way to separate out personal user information from loans, fines in a user record.
