  1. Log in to test environment (linked above) using the RRA-setup/RRA-setup credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Settings app.

  3. Select Tenant -> Reading room access.

  4. Create a reading room:

    • Enter room name,

    • Check the ‘Public’ checkbox.

      • Note: if the ‘Public’ option is selected, the room will be allowed for all patrons by default

  5. Associate one or more service points with the reading room.

  6. Navigate to the Users app.

  7. Open a user record. Select a user with user type staff or patron (e.g. UAT, Patron1).

    •  Note: Reading room access can be set for user records with the type patron or staff only

  8. Verify reading room access.

    • Ensure that the newly created reading room is displayed in the ‘Reading room access’ section of the user record with “Allowed” access.

User access to the reading room

  1. Log in to test environment (linked above) using the RRA-staff/RRA-staff credentials.

  1. Navigate to the Users app

  2. Create a patron record. Enter the following details and save the record:

    • First and Last names

    • Patron group

    • Expiration date

    • Barcode

    • User type: Patron

    • Email

  3. Check the Reading room access section of the newly created user record.

    • Ensure that reading rooms are displayed with default access.

  4. Edit user record:

    • Change access for one of the reading rooms

    • Add note

  5. Check the Reading room access section for this user record. Ensure that:

    • Access for the reading room is changed

    • Note is displayed

    • Last updated details display the date when the access was updated and the username of who updated it.
